Current status :

The history of Olkkala Manor dates back to the 14th century. The manor is located in Vihti, and it is the biggest manor in the area. The present main building was built in 1843-1845 in the Empire style. Nowadays, it is used as a cafe, restaurant, and conference place.

 
 
 
 

 
 

The old main building from 1770 is used as a museum at present. The representative wallpaper was created in the end of the 18th century. It has been transfered to the manor house in the Seurasaari Open-Air Museum, and the present wallpaper in the old main building is a copy of the original.

 
 
 

 
 

The granary was completed in 1819 in the architectural style of Classicism. It is believed to be designed by C. Bassi who was predecessor of Carl Engel. Currently, it is used as an art gallery. Olkkala Manor is located by a lake, and surrounded by a large park.
