Jarvenpaa Church was completed in 1968. As opposed to the exterior made of concrete, the interior is dominated by Finnish pine. The four bells are from Austria, and Joonas Kokkonen composed six melodies for the bells.

The Orthodox Church of Jarvenpaa was completed in 1979, and dedicated to the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God. It was designed after traditional Orthodox churches, and belongs to the Orthodox Parish of Helsinki.
